There are a number of myths and frauds concerning “secret shopping” or “mystery shopping.”  The purpose of this site is to cut through the mumbo-jumbo to educate people on what secret shopping is all about and how it works.

My name is Karen Roberts, and yes, I actually do mystery shopping myself and have friends that do so also.  I have researched and studied secret shopping and have published information about this in the past.  Although I cannot reveal specifics, I can say that I have done secret shopping assignments for things like oil changes, hair cuts, eyeglasses, eye exams, convenience store purchases, bookstore purchases, and banking.  In fact, I have a couple of secret shopping assignments coming up next week.  A nice way to earn some extra cash for things I would purchase anyway!

On February 6, 2010 I decided to update my website as a blog and bring it up to date for the new decade.  So if you are looking for the old become-a-secret-shopper website, you won’t find it.  I will be adding information as I can and hope to develop the best source of mystery shopping information that you’ll find on the internet!

In order to support the cost and effort of running this website, I have put up affiliate links to certain products.  If you make a purchase through these links, I’ll earn a commission. Fair enough?  You can help keep this site up and running through your purchases.  But you have no obligation to purchase, and I charge no membership fees for you to access the free information here.

I also post Google ads on the site.  I have no control over what information or products Google advertisers sell.  However, the links I place for affiliate products are for those that I truly believe will be helpful to you as you branch out into earning money for doing shopping assignments yourself.

Thanks for dropping by the Become A Secret Shopper Blog! Bookmark it and return from time to time for updated information.
